SPORT & MUSCULOSKELETAL PHYSIOTHERAPY
Hands on Healing
At the TMJ & Headache Clinic, our staff have undergone extensive postgraduate training in sports injury management and musculoskeletal health. We deliver hands-on therapy and exercise programs to get you better quickly.

Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists are experts in the management of musculoskeletal and spinal related pain. A Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist will use their expert assessment skills to diagnose the problem and then provide fast and effective treatment usually combining a hands on approach as well as exercise and advice.

Common conditions we treat:-
Back and neck pain
Whiplash
Sports injuries
Concussion
TMJ and Orofacial pain
Workplace injuries and rehabilitation
Sprained ligaments
Strained muscles and tendons
Trapped nerves
Post-Op/Post Trauma joint stiffness/muscle weakness

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists have also been trained in the manipulation of spinal joints.
This is a very specific skill where the therapist moves the joints into a locked position then
gently and quickly manipulates these joints, resulting in a “cracking or popping” sound.
This technique is very effective in quickly relieving pain and stiffness.

Sports Physiotherapists have been trained in the optimisation of sporting performance and human movement, including workload management, acute injury care and advanced exercise prescription. This means you will receive the best care for your sporting injury and return you to your chosen passion in the shortest, most optimal time.
